Giant vein graft aneurysm.

چکیده
A hemodialysis patient presented with an abnormal CXR (Panel A) 13 years after coronary artery bypass grafting and a CT scan was performed (Panel B). Maximal-intensity-projection (Panel C) and 3D reconstructions (Panel D) revealed a large aneurysm, containing thrombus, arising from the vein graft to his right coronary artery (Fig. 1). Fig. 1. (A) Chest radiograph (PA) showing the abnormal right heart border (white arrows). (B) Representative slice from the contrast-enhanced CTscan demonstrating an 8 cm  7.5 cm aneurysm. (C) Coronal maximum intensity pixel image and (D) 3-D reconstruction highlighting the large vein-graft aneurysm (An), containing thrombus (Th) which arises from the aorta (Ao).

A case of giant saphenous vein graft aneurysm followed serially after coronary artery bypass surgery
Saphenous vein graft aneurysm (SVGA) is one of the chronic complications after coronary aorta bypass grafting (CABG) and may be caused by atherosclerosis-like phenomena of the vein graft, weakness around the vein valve, rupturing of the suture of the graft anastomosis, or perioperative graft injury. We describe a case of a large, growing saphenous vein graft aneurysm that was followed serially ...
متن کاملSuccessful closure of a giant true saphenous vein graft aneurysm using the Amplatzer vascular plug.
An 85-year-old man was found to have a 9 cm diameter true aneurysm of an obtuse marginal saphenous vein graft. The graft was fed by a relatively narrow neck from the proximal remnant of the obtuse marginal graft 10 years after prior coronary artery bypass graft surgery. An Amplatzer vascular plug was used successfully to occlude the neck of the aneurysm. Follow-up CT scan 1 month afterward demo...
متن کاملRuptured giant aortocoronary vein graft aneurysm.
A 62-year old man, with aortocoronary bypass 25 years before, re-presented with increasing chest pain. A computed tomography (CT) documented a ruptured giant true aneurysm of the vein graft to the left anterior descending (LAD), which was distally blocked (Fig. 1). Peripheral cannulation and redo sternotomy under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest were used to resect the aneurysm (Fig. 2), wit...
متن کاملSaphenous vein graft bypass in the treatment of giant cavernous sinus aneurysms: report of two cases.
Two cases of giant intracavernous aneurysms treated by high flow bypass with saphenous vein graft between the external carotid artery (ECA) and branches of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) are presented. Very often these aneurysms are unclippable because they are fusiform or have a large neck. Occlusion of the internal carotid artery (ICA) is the treatment of choice in many cases. This procedur...
متن کاملA case of giant saphenous vein graft aneurysm successfully treated with catheter intervention
The patient was a 67-year-old man who had undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery using a saphenous vein graft (SVG) 22 years before. Computed tomography angiogram revealed a large aneurysm of the SVG (38 × 42 mm in diameter; 80-mm long) and total occlusion of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). We first performed percutaneous coronary intervention for chronic total occlusion of t...
متن کاملGiant thrombosed vertebral artery aneurysm treated by extracranial-intracranial bypass and aneurysmectomy--case report.
A 42-year-old male presented with a giant thrombosed aneurysm of the left vertebral artery. The aneurysm was resected through a combined subtemporal and suboccipital approach after a saphenous vein bypass graft was placed between the right external carotid artery and the posterior cerebral artery. Intraoperative measurements of the blood flow volume and pressure demonstrated good blood flow in ...
